Beachgoers won't stop digging large sand pit holes on the beaches of Nags Head, North Carolina
The Memorial Day weekend is gone but the problems that come with it remain. Take for instance the “holy” mess that the local officials in Nags Head, North Carolina have to deal with.
Nags Head has beautiful beaches that naturally attracts some beachgoers who just want to go there to sit back, relax, and just have a good time. But then, there are “them over there.” Y’all know! The folks whose definition of a good time is crime.
While all the other normal, good decent human beachgoers go to Nags Head’s beaches to lay back, relax, build sand castles, play volleyball, and swim in the swallow end, the uncouth human beachgoers go there to dig pit size holes.
I mean these holes are so big, deep, and wide that you’ll need the fire department, the Navy Seals, and the Coast Guard to get you out of it.
On May 21, 2019, Nags Head city officials posted an important message to a place, the town’s Facebook page, where they know everybody goes to get their news: “Children and adults should not dig holes deeper than their knees when standing in them….Ocean rescue personnel must be able to drive on the beach both day and night to quickly provide emergency services. Sand collapses can occur in holes just a few feet deep.”
Yeah, the children are guilty too. But then again, look at their parents and you’ll see why the youngins are lil’ devils in carne.
I tell y’all one thing. These people got sand. They have to have sand to continue breaking a law that the local officials have told them is a law.
Because as y’all know, sooner or later, somebody is going to be made an example out of and thrown in the hole for digging all of those large sand pit holes.
